Game prototype

Your idea deserves a first playthrough.

You have an idea and want to see how it feels to play. We build the essential loop: an action, its consequence and a reason to try again. You can show it, gather feedback and decide what comes next.

Let’s scope your first version

A result you can test

What we prepare together

  • One core mechanic and a test objective agreed together.
  • A playable version on the agreed platform, with instructions.
  • A feedback discussion and a list of possible next steps.

An example to help scope your request

Example brief: test whether moving a card to protect a character creates interesting choices. The prototype focuses on that turn, with placeholder visuals and a simple win condition.

Before the first game

The right
questions.

How much does a small prototype cost?

The price depends on the mechanic, available assets and intended delivery. We focus on a small first scope with an individual quote. Tell us your budget: we will explain what is feasible before any commitment.

Can the prototype launch on Steam or mobile?

A prototype is initially for testing an idea. A public release needs additional work: compatibility, testing, store pages, publisher accounts and support. We can assess that step in a separate quote.

What should I send to get started?

A few lines about the main rule, your audience and what you want to test. Add rules, sketches or images if you have them. We then agree the deliverable, budget, timeline and included revisions.

Can I request a demo of my idea?

Yes. Explain what you want to see in your request. We discuss feasibility and terms before starting a custom demo; a request does not automatically start free production.

An idea is enough to get started.

Send the main rule, what you want to test and your budget. We will tell you whether we can build a first version together.
